During October and November, the Senior classes participated in the project Exploring History through Virtual Reality. This project was led by the Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills Team in collaboration with the Curriculum Entitlement Department within the Secretariat for Catholic Education. This project was also co-financed by APS Bank CSR Funding Scheme.
During the project, the Senior 1 and Senior 2 students had the opportunity to engage in an immersive and interactive manner using 360° VR experience of key historical sites such as Għar Dalam, Skorba and various medieval chapels in Malta. The Senior 1 students worked on pre-historical period, whilst the Senior 2 class worked on the medieval chapels in Malta. Besides the VR, the girls were encouraged in teams to create Power Points, podcasts, interactive games and also models of different artifacts.
A special thanks goes to Ms. Natalie Calleja, Ms. Roberta Trapani Maggi and Mr. Bernard Cauchi. The project was coordinated at school by Ms. Lycia Bezzina, History and Geography teacher. Ms. Lycia collaborated with the organisers during the planning of the sessions and inception of the whole project.
