Celebrating Safer Internet Day – February 2025

Every year, Safer Internet Day addresses an online issue or theme that highlights what young people encounter and experience online. This year, it was celebrated on Tuesday 11th February 2025, giving our students the chance to delve into various online safety topics during their ICT lessons over the past few days.
Some classes explored the concept of a digital footprint through role play, while others learned about the importance of keeping personal information private and avoiding conversations or friendships with strangers online through storytelling. Additionally, certain grades watched animated episodes, followed by discussions about the right and wrong actions displayed, and some students debated how they would act if they were in the main character’s shoes in a specific presentation. The activities were coordinated and led by Ms Cristina Spiteri, ICT teacher.
