Baking German Christmas biscuits – 2014

In December Form 2 students studying German were baking and decorating traditional German Christmas biscuits.

In Germany and Austria these are served with afternoon tea during the time of Advent. The lesson was held in the Home Economics Room and students were divided into 5 groups.

It was not long until a lovely smell filled all the room and the corridors.

The students baked:

Linzer Augen

Schokolade Schnee Kugeln

Kilimandscharo Kekse

Schokolade Brezeln

Nussmakronen

The biscuits were then sold during parents’ day and the proceeds were donated to a good cause.
