Achievement Celebration Day – 2024


On Thursday 24th October 2024, our school celebrated Achievement Celebration Day, whereby values and achievements of the past scholastic year were celebrated. Sr Riches Grech, coordinator of St Joseph Schools in Malta, and Fr Leonard Mintoff, the school chaplain, attended this celebration. The activity started with a speech by Dr Kenneth Vella, Head of School. He stressed on the importance of upholding values in our lives. Certificates to students who showed outstanding values were given out by Sr Riches and Fr Leonard. Prizes were also distributed to students for academic achievement during the last scholastic year.
During the celebration, students from different classes participated in the music interludes. Hayley Spiteri, Kate Falzon and Victoria Maria Grech played pieces of music on the violin and piano, while Martina Harmsworth sang Rise Up. The students were mentored by Ms Mary Grace Grech, the Music teacher. Martina Catanzaro, Raelene Cassar, Lea Cassar, Kelly Scerri, Danae Schembri Galea, Pearl Caruana, Kelsey Degiorgio, Aaliyah Spiteri, Lara Bongailas, Zaida Fava, Kady Gatt, Lyla Michelle Schembri, Kayleigh Camilleri, Emma Apap Cohen, Ella Aquilina and Chantal Axisa prepared different dances under the guidance of Ms Amy Lewis, the PE teacher. The activity was concluded with an address by Sr Riches where she congratulated all the girls for their participation in the celebration and reminded them to keep God in the centre of their lives and be grateful to Him. She appealed to the girls to listen to God’s call and asked them to pray for more religious vocations. She urged them to embrace His call if they are called to pursue a religious vocation.
Well done to all the students who participated in this celebration. Ms Alexia Brincau and Ms Ruth Mansueto, Assistant Heads, coordinated the activity, together with Ms Giselle Gatt, Ms Mariella Pule’, Ms Alison Borg, Mr Frans Cassar, Ms Mary Grace Grech, Ms Amy Lewis and Mr Julian Busuttil.
