Eko Skola Participation in the GLOBE Cooling Down Schools Investigation Project

This scholastic year, our school is participating in the GLOBE Cooling Down Schools Investigation project which is being coordinated by Nature Trust FEE Malta in collaboration with the Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes and GLOBE Malta. The Eko Skola students participating in this initiative attended a training webinar on 26^th November 2021 while on 19^th January 2022, the project got underway at our school. The students are recording the surface temperature of various parts of the school yard which will be sent to GLOBE Malta at the end of each month. Through this project, the students are learning about climate change, climate action and Urban Heat Islands Effect. Another training webinar for students will be organised in the coming weeks.
