Participation in Coding Festa Hour – February 2025

In order to give the students more opportunities to engage with coding techniques in an enjoyable and straightforward manner, the Grade 5 and 6 students had the chance to take part in the Coding Festa Hour in recent weeks. This event was organised following the hosting of the EU Code Week in October. Each student had to develop unique dance moves for various sprites (characters) and change their backdrops as part of the Grade 5 class’s AI Dance Party. The Grade 6 girls were required to design various emoticons and make them interact with the user by altering backgrounds, and even having the opportunity to design their own emoji from scratch. The activity was coordinated by Ms Cristina Spiteri, the ICT teacher.
