Senior 2 Practical – May 2023


On the 4th and 11th of May 2023, the Senior 2 girls took part in the last practical for this scholastic year. They created a shortcrust pastry using the rubbing-in method and created a pie of their choice. The girls chose to fill their pies either with savoury or sweet ingredients such as chicken, ricotta, rabbit, pumpkin, or apples. The girls complemented their dish with a refreshing strawberry, mint, and basil drink. The girls learnt about the importance of including fibre in their daily meals and to use less fat, when possible, for a healthier meal. This practical session was coordinated by Ms Rachel Sladden, the Home Economics teacher, with the help of Ms Elaine Azzopardi.
