Commemorating the Feast of St Ġorġ Preca – May 2022

On 9^th May, Malta celebrates the feast of the first Maltese saint, St. Ġorġ Preca. This day was commemorated during the morning assembly where the girls prayed in front of the statue of St. Ġorġ Preca. Shezny Schembri, of Senior 2, shared some information about the saint where she highlighted important milestones in his life, notably the setting of the Society of Christian Doctrine. The girls also prayed one of St. Ġorġ Preca’s favourite prayers: Grazzi Sinjur Alla u aħfirli Sinjur Alla. The school thanks Shania Micallef, a former student, who donated the statue.
