School Calendar Third Term 2024-2025
On the 22nd of May 2025, the Senior 1 girls enjoyed a special visit from Manicaro Farms for an interactive and engaging talk all about milk and dairy products. The girls learned how everyday dairy items like cheeselets (ġbejniet), ricotta, and fresh milk are made—starting from the farm and ending up on our tables. The presenter explained each step of the process clearly, making the topic easy to follow and exciting to learn about.
The highlight of the session was a hands-on experience where each student had the chance to hold a baby goat. The girls were absolutely thrilled, and this personal interaction made the session even more memorable, helping them form a real connection to the animals behind the products we often take for granted.
This visit also tied in perfectly with what the students have been learning in Home Economics, reinforcing their understanding of milk and dairy products. The session was also enriched with Maltese vocabulary related to farming, helping students link practical knowledge with language learning in a fun and meaningful way.
